The independence of Ghana is meaningless until it is linked with total liberation of the African continent and projection of the African personality to the international community.
This is a well spoken statement but are the current leaders of Africa, particularly Ghana aware of this statement? If they are really aware of it in what context do they consider it? And is Ghana itself even independent at all? These are questions that any level-headed person who comes across this statement will asks himself. When a reasonable African chances on a statement like this, it gives him much cause to worry.
Independence Day is the most major festival celebrated in Ghana. It concerns people of all walks of life. But unfortunately, it is being celebrated to Mock and ridicule the citizenry.
It is indisputable fact that celebrations are to commemorate events in the lives of people. Such celebrations tasked the current generation to uphold the current situation of affairs.
The Independence Day celebrated to inform the current generation that their forefathers were once colonised. That is the were ruled in a manner that were never in their for development.
However, the current citizens who who witnessed the colonial era during their youthful days say there is nothing good in the 21st century governance compared to the colonial era. Testify that form of education during Gold Coast days is far better than what we see in Ghana today; not to mention the economic and security issues.
