They further mentioned the reported pirate attack on a Ghanaian fishing vessel.
In a press conference held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, Hnourable Ntim Fordjour, the NPP MP for Assin South who is also a Ranking Member on the Interior and Defence Committee of Parliament, ask on behalf of entire Ghanaians whether the National Security has deliberately diverted the route of the said 12 containers and dishonestly declaiming to have no idea of its whereabout? The MP emphasized that this is a legitimate question that Ghanaians seek response.
The Honourable Member pleaded that the national Security should disclose the actual content of the said aircraft. These were AirMed flight N823AM and Cavok Air which landed in Kotoka International Airport in March, 2025.
The Caucus further called for thorough investigation into the fishing vessel attack. They pleaded that the government should resource the Navy with the requisite offshore resources so as to execute their mandate effectively.
They concluded that President Mahama should do well to at least maintain the peaceful state that he inherited in order to maintain our international dignity as the second most peaceful nation in Africa.
