Shipping containers housing energy essentials of ECG is discovered to be missing at the Tema Port. The said containers are reported to be about 1300 in number. This was brought to light through a thorough investigation conducted.
The Majority Leader, Hon. Ayariga Mahama, who also doubles as the MP for Bawkaw Central Constituency has taken keen interest in the matter. In a discuss at the parliament, he stressed emphatically that management of the Tema Port and that of the ECG should be held responsible for this act. He further commended the Energy Minister for being willing to dig to the bottom of the matter, and that the minister should be assured of full support of the house.
It is further alleged that content of the said containers has been processed into aluminum blocks for export at Shai-Osudoko. The Majority Leader furthers expressed his discomfort regarding this and proposed that the aluminum smelting company in Ghana should also be investigated.
Hon. Mahama Ayariga has been morose as he laments over the kind of leadership in Ghana. The Ghanaian citizenry are therefore looking forward to the leaders to present better results and accountability.
